Gas-liquid interactions and gas nucleation kinetics are fundamental to several complex fluid transformations critical to many formulated products and processes (FPP). An outstanding example is the process where a gas or a mixture of gases is purposely added into a liquid to be a propellant, and/or changing the fluid density as a result. Mastering and transforming this area will provide a clear competitive advantage to the Company for years to come. Critical opportunity areas that the role will play are:
Owning and establishing benchscale experimental methods for measuring gas solubility, nucleation kinetics and bubble growth to validate modeling efforts.
Developing strategies to corelate the efficiency of gas entrapment (or gas mixture) and stability in liquid through fundamental understanding of gas-liquid interactions.
